Our mission:

To achieve our vision of raising a godly generation we are committed to loving each individual child and creating a variety of purposeful learning experiences using scripture as our foundation and guide

New Baby Ministry  We are so thrilled to know when a new baby is coming.  We will pray for you and announce it in the newsletter and bulletin board.  We put a congratulations sign in your yard and bring you a gift!  Let Margaux or Jennifer know!

Bible Time Live! is a messy game show for 4th and 5th grade kids.  It is fun for all ages in the audience too.  This event is very popular and held 4 Fridays a year.

Bunny Breakfast is held prior to Easter including breakfast, craft, visit from Easter Bunny and egg hunt.

Santa Breakfast hosted by United Methodist Women’s Circle 3 is held annually in early December includes breakfast, craft, entertainment and visit from Santa.

I love Sunday School Club! Celebrates kids who attend 9:30 Sunday school classes(K-5).  Quarterly, kids who attend at least 1/2 the Sundays receive a special attendance pin at a Sunday School Rally and are invited to an attendance party.  We’ve been to fun places like Great Wolf Lodge, Jump Zone and Roller skating!

Vacation Bible School is held yearly in the summer.  We’ve had a blast with Serengeti, Water park, Ancient Jerusalem, Pirate and County Fair themes.  The kids are really active and learn a lot about Jesus!

Text Box: Our Vision: Excerpt from the vision of Highland UMC conceived in the spring 2005...
...We see a church committed to raising a godly generation after us. Halls will be flooded with children eager to see their teachers who hug them and know them by name. Rooms will echo with laughter and music as creative, energetic and caring adults take these children on adventures and guide them through projects, which accurately illustrate God and His love for them. Our children will not only come to know about God, His son Jesus Christ and His divine prese among us, the Holy Spirit; but grow in a personal relationship with each person of the Trinity. New children and their families will be drawn to Highland UMC due to excited and motivated young people sharing the simple message of Jesus...
